PT Beiersdorf WWTP The PT Beiersdorf combined aerobic/ anaerobic WWTP in Malang.SOLUTION. NWC conducted all aspects of design, construction, and operational training for the Malang facility. Design of parallel aerobic and anaerobic wastewater treatment systems Construction of the physical facilities Operational training for Beiersdorf staff RESULT. The treatment plant was completed within schedule and budgetary agreements. Its combined treatment regime serves as model for industrial wastewater treatment for other companies in the region.

  • HIGH PURITY WATER PERTAMINA BALONGAN
    This is a single-train Demineraliser with pretreatment filtration, producing high quality (4 ms/cm) water for Boiler feed. Plant capacity is 100 m3/hour. The plant is built to Oil Industry standards. The CCR Packed Bed system used by Envitech for this plant resulted in production of treated water exceeding the Client Specification by more than 10% both for quality and for quantity of water. The chemical efficiency of the process also results in lower chemical consumption and therefore lower water production cost.

  • WATER PURIFICATION | EDI SYSTEM
    EDI, Electro-deionization, is a technology combined with ion exchange resin technology, membrane exchange technology and ion migration technology to produce high purity water.  Ion exchange resin is filled between two polarized membrane, when filtered water run through the resin, it cation and anion firstly absorbed by ion resin, at the same time under the influence of electrical field, the adsorbed ion will be released from the resin and passed through polarized membrane to become reject concentrate. Simultaneously water molecule in the ion resin chamber ionize to hydrogen and oxygen ion under electrical field, the hydrogen and oxygen ion will regenerate the resin in return, this process run continuously with high efficiency and always in optimum condition. EDI produce very high purify water of resistivity to 16-18mΩ-cm. Asian Tec’s EDI adopt most advance EDI module imported from foreign country, it combine with accurate instrument to become an independent system, the system is assembled on a single frame and built with an local control panel.  The EDI unit is either operated by manual or automatic control with PLC.   • WATER TREATMENT PLANT CONSTRUCTION
    CHALLENGE. The North Sumatran island of Nias was heavily damaged by large earthquakes in 2004 and 2005. In the interior highlands of Idanoi, a primary water source for the central region, frequent flash flooding posed safety hazards and led to high turbidity in the water. An existing water treatment plant in the area was inoperative. SOLUTION. SAB-SAS, a Dutch consortium of water development organizations, contracted NWC to construct a new steel water treatment plant to supply drinking water to Gunung Sitoli, the coastal capital of Nias. The work demanded the following: steel WTP construction due to material and logistical constraints construction of 2 x 10 l/s WTP units, assembled on site construction of a river intake in hazardous rapids RESULT. Construction of the WTP and intake system was completed safely, within budget and on schedule. Residents of Gunung Sitoli gained access to a safe and stable source of clean water.

  • WATER PURIFICATION | FILTRATION EQUIPMENT SYSTEM AND ION EXCHANGE EQUIPMENT
    Ion exchange is a traditional technology of water treatment to produce high purity water or ultrapure water without ion contamination for many industrial use. In general, raw water contain many free ions such K+、Na+、Ca2+、Mg2+、Fe2+(Cation)、HCO3-、CO32-、NO3-、SO42-(Anion), these ions can be absorbed by ion exchange resin and H+ and OH- ion will be substituted out of the resin to form H2O molecule, The feed water treated by ion exchanger will be purified to less ion contained water, i.e. pure water. The exchange resin with cation or anion adsorbed can be regenerated by Acid (H+) or Alkaline (OH-) due to its natural reversible chemical reaction, The regenerated resin can then resume to service again.

    At this city in East Kalimantan the only available water is from deepwells and has a very high iron content. Envitech supplied a 150 litre/second Water Treatment Plant plus two smaller plants each of 20 litre/second capacity. The plants use conical sludge-blanket Clarifiers and conventional Sand Filters.     This prominent Monomer manufacturing company in Bojonegara, Banten, wanted to substitute it’s high cost Desalination Plant with a Demineralization Plant, to provide high purity Boiler Feed Water. With a Design capacity of 48 m3/hour, the Demin plant was put into operation mid 2004 and has consistently produced demineralized water with a conductivity of <1.0 microsiemens/cm and a Silica level of <0.05 ppm. By using this Packed Bed, Counter-current Cation / Anion Unit the company has met it’s objective of reducing Operation Cost associated with Boiler Feed Water production.

  • WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM REHABILITATION
    CHALLENGE. Laweung is a small village on the northeastern coast of Aceh province that suffered extensive damage from the tsunami of 2004. Among its problems was a decrepit water treatment facility. Residents were forced to obtain water for drinking, bathing and sanitation directly from the local river. SOLUTION. Contracting with the German disaster relief agency Technisches Hilfswerk (THW), NWC performed a comprehensive rehabilitation of the water supply system. This included restoration of the following: the water intake structure at the river the existing water treatment plant the redistribution reservoir mechanical and electrical systems, including control systems, pumps and 6 km of piping RESULT. The contract was completed within budget and on time. Laweung villagers now have access to clean water from a water treatment plant operating at a capacity of 20 l/s.
